Wise Women’s Words – Mother’s Day contest

Posted on 17. Mar, 2011 by in Blog, Press/Events

Father isn’t the only one who knows best! In honor of Mother’s Day this year, celebrate your favorite quips and quotes from mom (or any other wise woman in your life) by submitting them to Booktrib’s “Wise Women’s Words” club on BookTrib.
They will choose their favorite and the winner will receive a fabulous gift bag from eChook filled with chocolates and other goodies to help you (or mom) sit back, relax, and enjoy the restorative power of a good short story.

…but that’s not all! The winning quote will be immortalized in a special post on their BookTrib blog, in eChook’s blog and “Literary Delights” newsletter. Winners will be announced on Thursday, April 5 at 1 p.m. ET.

Mom always said,”Do the right thing, no matter how hard it is.”

Even though I am 63 years old, I still follow that advice.
Many years ago, I went on an interview for a college scholarship and was put through the ringer, so much so, that I thought that I would never receive it. After a miracle, I did get the scholarship and my mother made me send a “thank you” then and every year I thereafter. My benefactor had respect for me after that. As they say, you never know.
